Electric Mixers & Mixing Drills

New Lanka Tools stocks 4 electric mixers and mixing drills. A mixer is a high-torque, low-speed machine built to turn a paddle through heavy material — mixing a bag of tile adhesive with an ordinary drill burns the drill out, which is why the dedicated tool exists.

GAOCHENG is the most represented brand with 2 machines, alongside GrLINK and Dong Cheng, with power ratings to 1200W in the range.

Tilers mixing adhesive and grout, plasterers and renderers, screed and self-levelling contractors, painters mixing large quantities, and small-scale concrete and mortar work all need a mixer. For anyone laying tile at volume, it is not an optional purchase — hand mixing produces inconsistent adhesive and is exhausting over a full day.

Applications include mixing tile adhesive and grout, mixing plaster, render and skim, mixing self-levelling compound and screed, blending paint and coatings to a consistent colour, mixing small batches of mortar and concrete, and mixing resins and fillers.

Torque matters far more than headline wattage, and speed should be low. A mixer that spins too fast whips air into the mix, which weakens adhesives and leaves a foamy, unworkable consistency. Variable speed lets you start slowly to avoid throwing material out of the bucket, then bring the speed up once the powder is wetted.

Paddle choice follows the material. A spiral paddle that pushes material downwards suits heavy adhesives and screeds; a paddle that lifts suits paints and lighter mixes. Match the paddle shank to the machine’s chuck or thread.

Clean the paddle immediately after use. Set adhesive on a paddle is difficult to remove and unbalances the tool.

For volume concrete work, a mixing machine from our Machinery department is the right scale of tool.
